Job summary

MCR in Glen Allen, VA, is seeking a Server to provide prompt, friendly, and accurate food service to guests. You will take orders, serve items, and process payments in a fast-paced hotel dining setting.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, delivering items quickly, handling POS transactions, and maintaining clean, welcoming tables and dining areas. Experience in hospitality and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Work Experience: Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions, assigned tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Always provide friendly service with a smile to guests.
• Flexible schedule with availability days, nights, holidays, and weekend based on the demands of the hotel.
• Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed by your immediate manager.
• Must clock in/out for breaks at the designated time on your schedule.
• Must provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and give a clear and correct description of food and beverage options.
• Deliver hot to order items from kitchen to tables.
• Input orders into computer and secure accurate payment.
• Prepare coffee as well as other specialized drinks.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for dining as needed.
• Observe diners and respond to requests.
• Complete daily inventory prep sheet and other side work.
• Knowledge and familiarity of current food and beverage offerings.
• Escort guests to tables as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures.
