Job Title: Banquet Server

Job Description

The Banquet Server will set up and prepare banquet rooms for functions, serve and bus tables, and clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of events.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Setting up for functions, including dropping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and arranging table centerpieces.
  2. Serving food and beverages, picking up food from the back hall, carrying trays, and clearing tables.
  3. Breaking down after events, including bussing tables, putting away linens and centerpieces, and cleaning the back hall and storerooms.
  4. Performing food & beverage prep duties, such as preparing condiments and brewing coffee.
  5. Cleaning and sanitizing tables and counters after guests leave.
  6. Providing information about the property and offering a warm welcome and farewell to guests.
  7. Interacting professionally with staff and assisting other departments as needed.
  8. Going above and beyond to enhance guest experience.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work longer shifts as required.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs or more.
  • Pleasant and helpful personality.
  • Six months of food and beverage experience preferred but not required.

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Starting at $13.00 per hour, up to $17.00 based on experience.
  • Part-time options: 8-29 hours/week; seasonal options: 8-40 hours/week.
  • Workdays and shifts vary, including special event days like Texas A&M game days and graduations.
  • Availability for high occupancy events is required.
