Position Summary

The Banquet Server will provide exceptional hospitality to guests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This role offers an hourly wage of $15 to $17, plus tips.

Responsibilities
  1. Set up and break down of banquet rooms as instructed by the Banquets Manager, including linen, service ware, and glassware.
  2. Attend pre-shift meetings to learn event specifics, including guest and hotel expectations, guest counts, menu offerings, VIPs, and other pertinent information.
  3. Greet guests and respond to requests courteously.
  4. Set and clear tables of china, glass, and silverware.
  5. Maintain a neat and clean appearance.
  6. Preferably have at least 6 months of previous server experience.
  7. Perform side work to prepare for upcoming events.
  8. Keep service areas clean at all times.
  9. Maintain knowledge of the menu and any special items offered.
  10. Provide quick, attentive, friendly, and professional service to guests, communicating clearly with all customers.
  11. Serve food at proper temperatures and immediately upon kitchen availability, as ordered.
  12. Ensure neat presentation of all items, with no spill-over.
  13. Pre-bus and bus tables during peak periods.
  14. Be available to work during peak times.
  15. Stock beverage stations as needed (ice, juices, glassware, sugar, etc.).
  16. Respond promptly to customer requests.
  17. Maintain a professional appearance.
  18. Coordinate with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff to enhance the dining experience.
  19. Build knowledge of bar offerings to answer patron questions accurately.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred; equivalent experience may suffice.
  • At least 1 year of experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and during special events.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Energetic, positive attitude, with a friendly demeanor.
  • Team player.
  • Quick learner.
