Position Summary

The duties and responsibilities of a Banquet Server generally include providing exceptional customer service throughout the entire event process to ensure the highest standard of customer satisfaction.

This role offers an hourly wage of $17 to $18.

About the Venue

The Sevierville Convention Center aims to exceed expectations by offering a facility designed for various events, including arts, trade shows, conventions, retreats, seminars, banquets, and holiday parties. It features a spacious ballroom accommodating up to 1500 people, with additional exhibit halls and meeting rooms. Located on Winfield Dunn Parkway in Sevierville, Tennessee, it offers stunning views of the Smoky Mountains and easy accessibility for groups of all sizes.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area.
2. Relay food and beverage orders.
3. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
4. Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations.
5. Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
6. Relay important information about orders, allergies, and special requests to the appropriate person.
7. Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
8. Present a professional appearance and mannerisms.

Qualifications

Knowledge and/or experience as a Banquet Server or Banquet Waiter is responsible for serving food and beverages to guests at venues or catering events. Duties include greeting guests, taking orders, delivering correct drinks and dishes, and refilling beverages as needed.
