Position Summary

The Banquet Server will provide exceptional hospitality for guests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Limited hours.

Shift notice will be provided at least two weeks in advance.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $23.

About the Venue

Green River College is located in Auburn, WA. The college hosts various catering events, including weddings and auctions, typically accommodating 50 to 100 people. These events usually occur on Saturdays but may happen during the week.

Responsibilities

• Carry at least 8 entrees per tray.
• Provide fine dining level food and beverage service to guests, maintaining DLTCC standards.
• Maintain friendly and professional contact with guests, ensuring all needs are met.
• Set up and maintain food and beverage stations throughout the venue.
• Keep event areas and front-of-house staging areas tidy and organized.
• Participate in setup and cleanup of service items.
• Work independently during slower periods.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
• Engage with guests and staff professionally.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Multi-task effectively.
• Handle and move objects safely.
• Maintain a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude.
• Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, and reaching.
• Lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 30 lbs, with frequent handling of 15 lbs.
• Be punctual and maintain consistent attendance.
• Respond appropriately to customer inquiries and complaints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience in events, banquets, or restaurants is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol.
• MAST card preferred.
