Job Summary

The role of Banquet Server is responsible for assisting in banquet operations from setup to breakdown and serving guests with exceptional standards during events.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Prepare all equipment and areas for the event as specified in the BEO.
  3. Ensure all materials needed to match the BEO are on hand.
  4. Service guests and anticipate their needs during events.
  5. Take food and beverage orders.
  6. Clear plates and clean tables as guests finish their meals.
  7. Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Respond promptly to concerns and notify the Banquet Manager as needed.
  9. Break down all equipment after the event.
  10. Clean up areas and event space (sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, trash removal).
  11. Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation practices are followed throughout the event.
  12. Prepare for subsequent events.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Must have sufficient education and literacy to read product labels and communicate with guests about job-related needs.
  • Minimum age of 16 years old; 18+ to serve alcohol.
  • Preferred: At least one year of serving experience in a high-volume setting.
  • In-person customer service experience required.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service.
  • Food Handlers Certification.
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of special diets for guest safety.
  • Basic knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and beverages.
  • Discretion and respect for guest privacy.
