Job summary

The Club at Twin Lakes in Allentown, PA is seeking a Banquet Server to deliver outstanding service during events. You will set up banquet rooms, serve food and beverages, and help ensure a seamless dining experience for guests in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, food service experience, and the ability to recall menu items. Expect varying schedules including holidays and weekends, standing for long periods, and complying with safety and alcohol service

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms as instructed by supervisor.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function details.
• Serve food and beverages to guests as directed.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Clear dishes promptly after courses.
• Respond to guest requests and resolve complaints.
• Abide by state, federal and corporate alcohol service requirements.
• Follow MSDS and OSHA safety standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Essential Job Functions

• Set up banquet room as instructed by supervisor.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations.
• Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
• Replenish beverages as necessary, and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
• Respond to guest special requests and resolve guest complaints.
• Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Practice safe work habits; wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
