Job summary

Miraval Austin Resort and Spa invites applications for an On-Call Banquet Server. You will be responsible for food and drink service at hotel banquet events, ensuring the space is visually appealing and presenting the menu offerings. This role supports linen setup, beverage service, and event room refreshes.

Qualified candidates maintain flexibility, strong teamwork, and clear communication. Certifications for Food Handling and TABC are required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must have open availability and be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Clear communication skills required for guest service and collaboration with event staff.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around banquet spaces effectively.
• Food Handlers Certification and TABC Certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide food and beverage service at hotel banquet functions and ensure the space is presentable.
• Present menus and assist with menu design and beverage service as needed.
• Assist with linen/tables, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary work area.

The Banquet Server is responsible for food and drink service at hotel banquet functions. This person helps ensure the function space visually appealing and present the menu offering for the event. This may include linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Qualifications

• Must have open availability and be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Clear communication skills required
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 25 pounds)
• Must work well in a team setting
• Previous banquets experience preferred but not required
• Food Handlers Certification and TABC Certification required or must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
