Job summary

Sheraton Suites Galleria, Atlanta is seeking a friendly, attentive Banquet Server to support our banquet and events team for meetings, weddings, and special events. You will help ensure seamless food and beverage service while maintaining high standards in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include setting up banquet rooms, serving food and beverages, greeting guests, and working with the team to ensure smooth event execution.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, restaurant, hospitality, or food & beverage service experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays or equipment as needed.
• Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms according to event orders, including tables, linens, glassware, and place settings
• Provide professional and attentive food and beverage service during banquets, meetings, and special events
• Greet guests warmly and ensure their needs are met throughout the event
• Serve plated meals, buffet items, and beverages following service standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas during and after events
• Clear tables, remove used dishware, and reset tables as needed
• Work closely with the banquet captain, culinary team, and other staff to ensure smooth event execution
• Assist with event setup, breakdown, and room resets between functions
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
• Maintain a professional appearance and deliver exceptional hospitality to all guests

Requirements

• Previous banquet, restaurant, hospitality, or food & beverage service experience preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays or equipment as needed
• Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience accepted
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
• Ability to obtain required licenses or certifications, if applicable
• Additional language skills a plus
• CPR and First Aid training preferred
