Job summary

Legends Global in Tucson is seeking a friendly Banquet Server to provide high-quality catering service for banquets, concessions and events at the Tucson Convention Center/Arena. You will greet guests, serve beverages, answer questions about food and facilities, and maintain a clean, professional appearance while working flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

No certifications required; at least a year in a service environment preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year in a service-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of catering services and terminology.
• All persons handling alcohol must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests with enthusiasm and friendliness.
• Serves alcoholic beverages following company standards.
• Answers guest questions about food, beverages, and facilities.
• Does side work during non-busy hours.
• Always speaks to guests with enthusiasm.
• Develops relationships with guests.
• Provides the highest level of service in accordance with our standards.
• Identifies food orders when ready and delivers items to tables in a timely manner.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Communicates with food and beverage staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Reports to work in uniform and on time.
• Maintains professional relationships with all coworkers.
• Follows checklists and standard operating procedures.
• Maintains a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area.
• Performs duties as assigned.
• Maintains knowledge of menus, recipes, and other pertinent information.
• Continuously increases knowledge of food, beverages, and services.
• Ensures guests have a positive memorable experience at the TCC.
• Responsible for sanitation and proper food handling.
• Puts work area in order for opening, mid-shift, or closing.
• Punches clock in in full uniform, not earlier than five minutes before shift.
