The Role

Reporting directly to the Catering Supervisors, the Catering-Banquet Server is responsible for delivering and serving food and beverages to catering clients in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Set tables according to function specifications
• Transport equipment and beverages to the event location
• Arrange food and beverages on buffet tables
• Serve food, beverages, and accompaniments courteously to guests
• Clear china, glassware, and silverware quietly and efficiently
• Transport used items to dishwashing stations
• Return equipment and unused items to storage neatly
• Perform cleaning tasks to meet health standards
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Catering Supervisor

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to interact professionally with co-workers and guests
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and menu items
• Proficient in English (reading, speaking, writing)
• Ability to lift 10-30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Sufficient mobility for extended reaching, bending, and pushing tasks

Certifications
