The Role

Reporting directly to the Catering Supervisors, the Catering-Banquet Server position is responsible for delivering and serving food and/or beverage items to catering clientele in a friendly, courteous and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Set tables to meet the function specifications
2. Deliver necessary equipment and beverages from storage areas to event location
3. Set/display food and beverages on buffet tables
4. Serve food, beverage and accompaniments to Catering clientele in a friendly and courteous manner ensuring guest satisfaction
5. Quietly remove china, glassware and silverware from meal area
6. Deliver dirty china, silverware and glassware to the appropriate kitchen’s dish washing station
7. Return equipment and unused beverages and dirty linen to appropriate storage locations in a neat and organized manner
8. Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
9. Complete other duties as assigned by the Catering Supervisor

Qualifications:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age
2. Ability to interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards
3. Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
4. Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, serviceware and menu items
5. Must be able to read, speak and write English Language in order to communicate with guests
6. Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items
7. Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
8. Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time

Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
