Description

We are seeking a banquet and a la carte server with a dynamic hospitality driven attitude to join our food & beverage team.Must be available a minimum of 2 shifts a week (or 3 if you prefer). Must be available nights and weekends.

Monterey Peninsula Country Club caters to a diverse Membership of more than 1,100 Members. Dining is provided daily in five outlets throughout the Clubhouse, Golf House and two 18-hole golf courses. MPCC will serve over 200,000 covers per year in a la carte and banquets.

As a banquet server for Monterey Peninsula Country Club, we will ask you to:

  • Ensure that members and guests receive all food and beverage orders in a timely manner.

  • Describe all menu items including the method of preparation, major ingredients, garnish, and method of presentation for all menu items.

  • Ensure prompt, cordial and accurate service of food and drinks.
  • Ensure that side stations are maintained and organized at all times.

  • Help maximize the number of members served and limit delays in seating members and guests.

  • Assist with room set up and breakdown.

Qualifications

What we will need from you:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in person with members and guests.
  • Knowledge of general food service industry standards.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule with availability on holidays, weekdays, and weekends.
  • Ability to maintain a well-groomed professional image and appearance.
  • One-year previous catering or restaurant food service experience in upscale environment.
  • Private club, resort and/or hospitality experience preferred.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Possess Food Handler Certificate or can obtain within 30 days of hire date.
  • Possess Responsible Beverage Service certification or obtain within 30.
  • Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
