Job summary

The Club at Longview is seeking a Banquet Server to provide attentive food and beverage service during events and meals. You will prepare tables and room setups, greet guests warmly, and work closely with banquet captains to maintain high standards throughout functions.

Responsibilities include replenishing beverages, clearing and resetting areas, and supporting other departments as needed. Candidates should be able to lift 30+ lbs and commit to a teamwork-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet serving experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
• Friendly, positive, and efficient guest interaction.
• Able to follow banquet captain guidance and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proper table, room, and drink setup for events.
• Greet customers upon arrival in a friendly manner.
• Serve beverages and food in order per banquet captain’s guidance.
• Remove dishes as guests finish meals and at end of function.
• Replenish beverages and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Clear and clean tables and related surfaces promptly.
• Reset banquet room after events per captain’s specifications.
• Attend trainings or meetings as requested by management.
• Assist other departments while maintaining standards.

Job Description and Service Standards: BANQUET SERVER

LOCATION: The Club at Longview

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage

REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Manager/Banquet Management

The following reflects basic service standards and job description for a Banquet Server at The Club at Longview

Aims & Objectives:

Perform food and drink serving duties at meal periods and special events while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly, and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare proper table, room, and drink set up for time of event/meeting, to include moving, rolling and lifting of tables and chairs.
• Greet customers upon their arrival in a friendly manner.
• Serve beverages and food in appropriate order and in tune with the expectation of the banquet captain to ensure consistency throughout the event.
• Remove dishes as guests finish each meal or at the end of the function.
• Replenish beverages when necessary and check with guests to make sure we are exceeding guests expectations.
• Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner – clean/wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary.
• After banquet concludes, reset banquet room in accordance with the banquet captain’s specification to ensure the rooms are presentable for future functions.
• Complete any assigned duties as requested by Food & Beverage Management Team.
• Attend any training or meetings held as requested by management.
• Willing and able to lift/push 30+lbs.
• Assist other departments when necessary while maintaining other departments’ standards.
• Take a proactive role in encouraging teamwork, cooperation, harmony, productivity and a positive attitude within the working environment.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
