Job summary

Foley Entertainment Group in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking a Banquet Server to provide courteous, timely service for banquet events. You will read Banquet Event Orders, coordinate with the team, and ensure guests receive food and beverages accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities include opening and pouring wine, describing menu ingredients, attending to guest allergies, and maintaining clean, replenished stations. A luxury hotel background and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year minimum of customer service experience preferably within the Food & Beverage industry.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
• Flexible schedule, able to work mornings, nights, holidays and weekends.
• Experience in a luxury world-class hotel or equivalent.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Banquet Server is responsible for serving food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, efficient and accurate manner. Work well with co-workers as part of a team. Read and understand Banquet Event Orders and carry out the instructions given on the Banquet Event Orders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and serve meal accompaniments to banquet attendees.

• Perform side work.

• Open & pour bottled wine for guests along with other table beverages.

• Knowledge of current menu being served and ability to describe ingredients.

• Take note of special guest requests and/or allergies and act accordingly.

• Help direct guests and answer questions about facility.
