Job Overview

Provide professional, attentive, and friendly service as a banquet server at LaJollaBeach & Tennis Club. The role includes assisting with banquet event set‑up and break‑down, serving meals, monitoring guests for additional requests, and completing closing procedures as directed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the set up of banquet rooms according to event orders.
• Pour beverages prior to guest request for refill.
• Serve patrons from chaffing dishes at buffet stations.
• Observe diners to respond to additional requests and determine when a meal has been completed.
• Clear and break down banquet areas as required.
• Perform any closing procedures as directed by the Captain.
• Attend monthly department meetings and training sessions.
• Push or pull up to 75 pounds of equipment or supplies.
• Assist in each event until all rooms are cleaned and ready for the next event.

Qualifications

• Must be able to push or pull up to 75 pounds.
• Availability on weekends and holidays.
• Must obtain and maintain a SanDiegoCounty Food Handlers Card.
• Responsible Beverage Service certification required.
• Prior hospitality or banquet experience is preferred.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $17.75
