Job summary

Newport Harbor Island Resort in Newport, Rhode Island, is seeking a Banquet Server to join our events team. You will deliver food and beverages, clear and reset banquet spaces, and ensure smooth event execution for weddings, conferences, and other occasions.

Overview

This position is compensated at a flat hourly rate of $5.00 per hour, plus applicable service charge gratuity. Actual earnings may vary based on hours worked and service charge distributions.

Qualifications

• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable
• Six months to one year serving experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Read, write and speak English fluently
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
