Indian Wells Golf Resort in Indian Wells, California is seeking a seasonal part-time Banquet Server to support a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property. As part of Troon, you will deliver attentive service at events while upholding standards.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ to serve alcohol, and 1–3 months banquet experience; ServSafe or similar certification is preferred. Compensation is $16.90 to $17.40 per hour.

  • Helps to maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment.
  • Assists in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area.
  • Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Compensation:

$16.90 - $17.40 / hour

Key Responsibilities of the Banquet Server:
  • Prepares function site andassures meeting room is set according to specifications.
  • Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines.
  • Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas as according to Banquet Event Order or as directed.
  • Communicates guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
  • Helps to maintain a clean banquet or catering kitchen, coolers, and equipment.
  • Assists in inventory control and monitoring waste in the banquet or catering area.
  • Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications for the Banquet Server:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months of banquet setting and service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older to meet state age requirements to serve alcohol.
Physical Demands:

Frequently stands, walks, talks, listens, and uses hands.

Regularly reaches with hands and arms.

Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits.

Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds.

Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.

Certificates/Licenses:

ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace.

Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes.
