As a Banquet Server, you’ll help deliver polished, attentive catering service for private events for our members and guests. This role exists to ensure each function runs smoothly, looks professional, and feels welcoming.
Key responsibilities include following event directions from the Private Events Director and/or Banquet Captain; providing courteous table service consistent with club standards; assisting with room prep, set-up, and breakdown as needed; setting tables and place settings to the event plan; attending pre-function briefings; staying at your assigned station and completing tasks as directed; escalating guest concerns to the Banquet Captain or Private Events Director; and complying with all food/alcohol safety and grooming policies.
Qualifications:
You’ll arrive with time to get oriented, check the function details, and connect with the banquet lead before guests enter. As the event unfolds, you’ll stay in rhythm with the team—moving between the floor and service areas, keeping your section organized, and adjusting to timing changes as they come up. Between courses or program moments, you’ll reset quickly and keep an eye out for anything that could disrupt the guest experience. At the end of the function, you’ll help close out the room so it’s ready for what’s next, then review any notes from the lead before heading out.
