Job summary

The Bay Club Company in California seeks an Events Banquet Server to assist food and beverage service, setup, guest attention, and logistical support for banquet events. You will greet clients, help with table setup, serve meals, verify age for alcohol, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and collaborate with a professional team across shifts including weekends and holidays.

  • Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills.

  • Greet clients.
  • Assist with set-up of tables, linens, chairs, etc. for full service of banquet events.

  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.

  • Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response.
  • Schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days, and evenings.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Ability to read/understand, analyze, and interpret general training manuals, professional journals, or technical procedures; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from children, managers, Associates, members, and the public.

Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum one (1) year of Customer Service experience (food service industry experience preferred)
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) state certification
  • Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities
  • Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
