Job summary

Edina Country Club in Edina, MN is seeking a friendly Banquet Server to help set up rooms, serve food and beverages, and ensure a spotless dining area during events. This role requires attentive, courteous service and a willingness to work as part of a team across all banquet functions.

You will greet guests, coordinate with the banquet staff, maintain cleanliness, follow safety rules, and assist with closing duties. Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and service stations.
• Greet members and guests upon seating and provide attentive service.
• Take beverage orders and serve food within assigned stations.
• Pour and refill wine, coffee, water, and other beverages.
• Clear soiled dishes, glassware, and silverware in a timely manner.
• Clean and maintain banquet rooms and kitchen support areas.
• Communicate concerns to supervisor promptly.
• Assist with closing duties and resetting rooms for next events.
• Attend staff meetings and pre-service line-ups.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.

Position Overview

The Banquet Server is responsible for setting up banquet rooms, providing attentive food and beverage service, and maintaining cleanliness before, during, and after events. This role ensures an exceptional dining experience for all members and guests by delivering prompt, courteous, and professional service at all banquet functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform banquet room set-up duties, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and service stations.
• Greet members and guests promptly upon seating and provide immediate, attentive service.
• Take beverage orders and serve food within assigned service stations.
• Pour and refill wine, coffee, water, and other beverages during and after meals.
• Clear soiled dishes, glassware, and silverware in a timely and efficient manner.
• Clean and maintain all assigned work areas, including banquet rooms and kitchen support areas.
• Communicate any member or guest concerns or complaints to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist with closing banquet functions by removing linens, bussing tables, and resetting rooms for upcoming events.
• Attend required staff meetings, including pre-service line-up sessions.
• Consistently follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Complete additional duties and assignments as directed by the Banquet Captain or Banquet Director.

Other duties as assigned.
