Job summary

Seneca Resorts & Casinos is seeking a Banquet Server to deliver an enjoyable, expertly served dining experience and exceed guest expectations. The role includes acting as a welcome greeter, cocktail server, hors d’oeuvre passer, reception bus person, buffet runner, front/back server, and exit usher within policy guidelines.

The position emphasizes exceptional customer service, punctual attendance, and completion of required training within nine months, with a 24-hour schedule affecting hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
• Six (6) months previous food and beverage experience in an upscale outlet.
• Ability to perform wait and server standards within a specific time frame.
• Excellent guest relation skills and an ability to be attentive and anticipate all guest needs are necessary (be proactive).

The Banquet Server is responsible to provide guest with an enjoyable, expertly served dining experience that exceeds their expectations. In order to execute this goal you may be required to perform any combination of the following duties: welcome greeter, cocktail server, hors d'oeuvre passer, reception bus person, buffet runner, front server, back server, exit usher. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
• Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
• Attend all necessary meetings.
• Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Education/Experience:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.

  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

  • Must have the ability to work indoors/outdoors as well as in extreme temperatures.
  • Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community if all situations.

Salary Starting Rate:

$10.70

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
