Job summary

Seneca Resorts & Casinos is seeking a Banquet Server to provide guests with an enjoyable, expertly served dining experience that exceeds expectations. Duties include greeting guests, serving courses, and assisting with buffet and event service.

Position requires excellent guest relations, English communication skills, and 6 months of food & beverage experience in upscale settings. Starting rate listed as $10.70/hour with negotiable compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of previous food and beverage experience in an upscale outlet.
• Excellent guest relations skills and proactive service mindset.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service to all patrons with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Perform various service duties across stations: welcome greeter, cocktail server, hors d’oeuvres, bus person, buffet runner, front and back server.
• Set up, maintain, and reset dining areas; assist with beverage and buffet service as needed.
• Assist in weddings, social functions and large events as required.

In order to executethis goal you may be required to perform any combination of the following duties: welcome greeter, cocktail server, hors d’oeuvre passer, reception bus person, buffet runner, front server, back server, exit usher. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectivesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.2. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.3. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.4. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.5. Attend all necessary meetings.6. Ability to perform wait and server standards within a specific time frame.5. Excellent guest relation skills and an ability to be attentive and anticipate all guest needs are necessary (be proactive).Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:1. Must possess excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate in English through writing and speaking.2. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.3.
