Job summary

Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth, MI is seeking a Manager on Duty to direct and supervise the banquet operation and team across all event types and times. The role ensures an ideal dining environment and that guests’ needs are met for successful events.

You will coordinate all operational functions during scheduled periods, oversee staff in the absence of department managers, and maintain clean, well-organized areas while supporting holidays and brunches as requested.

Qualifications

• Good math skills to calculate billing and tips.
• Good computer skills.
• Pleasing personality, well-groomed and neat appearance.
• Ability to resolve service problems on own initiative.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and handle moderate lifting/setup of chairs, decorations and tables.
• Experience with current A/V technology setups.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the smooth operation of the banquet room and team during events of all sizes and types.
• Ensure an ideal dining environment and that the group’s needs are met for successful events.
• Oversee holidays, special events, meetings and conferences, brunches, and other functions.
• Coordinate and direct all operational functions at the Bavarian Inn Lodge during scheduled periods to ensure service and quality.
• Supervise staff in the absence of department managers and maintain secure, clean areas.
