Job description

Job Summary:
The Banquet/Line Cook at Embassy Suites - Brunswick is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes for our guests' satisfaction. This individual will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment, preparing food for banquets and events as well as handling a variety of tasks on the line. The ideal candidate must have a passion for food and be able to work efficiently and effectively in a high-volume setting.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive compensation of $16 to $18 per hour, paid semimonthly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts at our hotel and other Embassy Suites properties.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and plating standards for banquets and events
- Set-up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients
- Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures when handling food and working with kitchen equipment
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food to guests
- Assist with inventory and ordering of food and supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area at all times
- Help with food prep and dishwashing when necessary
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to develop new menu items and specials
- Follow all company and departmental policies and procedures

Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Cook in a high-volume kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Culinary degree or certification preferred, but not required
