Shamin Hotels is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to set up, maintain, and break down banquet spaces for meetings, weddings, conferences, and events in our Williamsburg property. This role supports the banquet team to ensure flawless event execution while maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards.

The position requires physical endurance, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a strong focus on teamwork and guest service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous banquet/events/hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms per event orders (BEOs) with tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, and AV equipment.
• Break down and clean spaces after events and return items to storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of equipment and supplies.
• Respond to guest and client requests promptly and professionally during events.
• Collaborate with Banquet Captain and team for smooth event execution.
• Perform regular inspections of equipment and report damage or needs.
• Follow all hotel policies, including safety and sanitation standards.
• Support other hotel functions as needed during slow periods.
