Shamin Hotels in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to set up, break down and maintain banquet spaces to hotel standards. You will support our banquet team for meetings, weddings and events, ensuring timely, polished presentations.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays. Previous hospitality experience is preferred; we value teamwork and a professional customer service approach.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms according to BEOs, including tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, and A/V equipment.
• Break down and clean banquet spaces after events, returning items to storage.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are clean, functional, and properly stored.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of banquet areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Respond to guest and client requests promptly and professionally during events.
• Collaborate with Banquet Captain and team for smooth event execution.
• Inspect banquet equipment and report damage or maintenance needs.

Position Summary:

The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for setting up, breaking down, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all banquet spaces in accordance with hotel standards. This role supports the banquet team to ensure successful execution of meetings, weddings, conferences, and other events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up banquet rooms according to banquet event orders (BEOs), including tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, and audio/visual equipment
• Break down and clean banquet spaces after events, returning all items to proper storage
• Ensure all equipment and supplies are clean, functional, and properly stored
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of banquet areas and back-of-house spaces
• Respond to guest and client requests promptly and professionally during events
• Collaborate with the Banquet Captain and other team members to ensure smooth event execution
• Perform regular inspections of banquet equipment and report any damage or maintenance needs
• Follow all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation standards
• Support additional hotel functions as needed, including assisting in other departments during slow periodsQualifications: Qualifications:
