Job description

Scope:

Assists the Banquet Manager in overseeing banquet staff and coordinating banquet functions to ensure complete guest satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Assists in training banquet staff in proper set-up, serving, and clean-up procedures.
  2. Conducts pre-shift meetings with banquet staff to review specific needs of each group, including service procedures, set-up, menus, order of service, and special requests.
  3. May assist in scheduling and assigning duties to banquet staff.
  4. Ensures all setup and closing duties are completed as assigned; performs setup and closing duties as needed.
  5. Coordinates the timing of each course to match the dining pace; assists in plating meals; performs all banquet server duties as needed.
  6. Responds promptly to guest requests in a friendly manner and follows up to ensure satisfaction.
  7. Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  8. Adheres to company policies and procedures.
