Le Meridien Stoneleigh in Dallas seeks an attentive Banquet Assistant to support the banquet manager in preparing spaces and ensuring a positive guest experience. The role involves heavy lifting, meeting room setups, and continuous coordination with supervisors and team members.

The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, physical stamina for long shifts, and a willingness to perform diverse tasks to maintain event flow.

Qualifications

• Ability to set up meeting rooms to guest specifications; physical activity involved.
• Lift and move tables, chairs, podiums up to 100 lbs.
• Strong verbal and written communication; adapt style for audience.
• Coordinate with supervisors and peers to ensure smooth operations.
• Support other duties as assigned during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up all meeting rooms per guest specifications, including mobility of heavy items.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and water.
• Break down rooms after meetings and return items to storage for next use.
• Maintain cleaning schedule for rooms and ballrooms to keep spaces presentable.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Assist with any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

This includes considerable physical activity in transporting awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage area to meeting rooms.Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.Break down all meeting rooms where meetings have concluded and return to storage closet so the room will be available to be reset for the next function.Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms so the rooms stay presentable at all times.Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications and SkillsKnowledge of various types of equipment and set up styles used in the meeting rooms.
