HHM Hotels in Houston is seeking a Banquet House Attendant to set up and service banquet spaces in alignment with guest expectations and sustainability standards.

The role involves moving heavy items, maintaining room cleanliness, and assisting guests with service changes. Prior banquet setup or customer service experience is preferred, and safety protocols must be followed at all times.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous banquet set up or customer service experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Set up meeting rooms according to banquet event orders and documents to meet guest expectations.
• Transport heavy items safely from storage to meeting rooms using proper equipment.
• Break down meeting rooms and return items to storage neatly.
• Maintain cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms to keep spaces presentable.
• Respond to guest requests for service changes and assist with information on hotel areas.
• Handle guest complaints personally or escalate to supervisor if needed.
• Follow MSDS and OSHA safety standards and wear protective equipment.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Essential Job Functions

• Set up meeting rooms according to banquet event order forms and documents to ensure set up meets guest expectations.
• Transport awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage area to meeting rooms in a safe manner using proper equipment.
• Break down meeting rooms and return banquet items to storage closet in a neat and organized fashion.
• Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms ensuring rooms are presentable at all times.
• Respond to guest requests for service changes in room set up and assist with information requests regarding other areas of the hotel.
• Handle guest complaints personally or if necessary seek assistance from supervisor.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous banquet set up or customer service experience preferred.
