Job summary

Arrowhead Golf Club, part of the Wheaton Park District, seeks a hands-on Sous Chef to oversee banquet and restaurant production. You will develop menus, cost out recipes, and maintain top sanitation and quality standards across busy event schedules and the regular dining room.

You will lead kitchen staff, manage inventories, control costs, and ensure all menu items remain available. The position offers full-time hours with competitive benefits and opportunities to contribute to a premier dining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3+ years experience as Sous Chef.
• Must hold a Food Sanitation Certificate; CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience managing a kitchen staff of eight or more for at least 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production for banquets, weddings, golf outings and off-premise events.
• Develop menus, recipes, and costing; ensure sanitation and quality standards.
• Keep inventory, reduce waste, and manage kitchen budget and labor costs.
• Train staff on portion control, safety, and proper food handling.
• Ensure all menu items are available 100% of the time and support restaurant operations.
