Job summary

Hilton Columbia Center in Columbia, SC is seeking a Banquet and Events Houseperson to set up, maintain, and reset banquet spaces according to event specifications, ensuring a clean, inviting environment for guests.

You will work with Banquet Managers and staff to execute precise layouts, assist during events, manage equipment, and help with breakdowns after functions, while upholding safety and hotel standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in hospitality or event services preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms per event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, staging, and dance floors.
• Follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure configurations are accurate.
• Breakdown and clean rooms after events, storing equipment properly for future use.
• Assist banquet servers and bartenders by replenishing supplies and resetting stations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet storage areas and equipment.
• Ensure safety and compliance with hotel policies during setups.
