Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking an On-Call Banquet Server to set up banquet spaces and provide gracious food and beverage service to guests. You will learn function specifics at pre-event roll calls, greet guests warmly, and maintain high service standards throughout each function.

Responsibilities include setting up linen and serviceware, serving courses, handling beverage service and resetting the room for the next function, while adhering to safety, sanitation, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests and be a team player.
• Must obtain BASSET and food handler certifications within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor to include linen, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars and guest expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the Supervisor's expectations; clear dishes as guests finish.
• Abide by State, Federal and Corporate beverage service requirements.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet room after each function to readiness for the next event.
• Maintain regular attendance and be available to work as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
