Banquet Cook - Part-Time - Sioux City Convention Center

Position Overview

The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing menu items using various cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The role requires maintaining high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction, with attention to portion control, food waste, and sanitation.

Compensation

This position offers an hourly wage of $17.00.

Responsibilities
  • Cook and plate food items.
  • Maintain quality and standards for all menu items, ensuring freshness and high quality.
  • Control portions and serving temperatures.
  • Clean, stock, and restock workstations.
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, fryers, and ovens.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment, proper storage of food, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Complete shift checkouts with the Floor Supervisor to meet cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
