Job description

City Experiences is seeking a Cook for our operation in Newport Beach.

About the Opportunity:

Work primarily involves banquets with a wide range of menus from festive casual to California classic. Successful candidates will have attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. A flexible schedule is required.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

Responsibilities include preparing and cooking food aboard yachts or in our prep kitchen for events, loading and unloading food and supplies onto boats, assisting in cleaning the galley, collaborating with vessel operations crew and front of house team, and ensuring safety and security duties are followed.

Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays is a must.

• Adhere to strict food production and handling guidelines.
• Maintain open communication with onboard management.
• Address guest food service requirements as needed.
• Adapt quickly to changing timelines and prep for events.
• Support front of house staff as required.
• Report equipment issues promptly.
• Arrive on time and follow management instructions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

At least 6 months of kitchen experience including prep work, line cooking, and knowledge of health and sanitation codes. California Food Handler’s Card required within 30 days of employment. Must be 18+ years old.
