Job Overview

Ensure proper service through quality control and sanitation standards in the kitchen.

Responsibilities
  1. Verify all items against recipe cards, follow use records, and ensure food presentation quality.
  2. Monitor line setup before meal functions for efficiency.
  3. Maintain equipment and uphold the "clean as you go" policy.
  4. Prepare food following recipes and standards, with assistance from servers.
  5. Start pre-prepared food items, avoiding overproduction.
  6. Label and rotate food containers per SOP, maintaining proper temperatures.
  7. Check stock levels, prepare necessary items, and set up lines.
  8. Note shortages or out-of-stock items.
  9. Return unused food to storage, covering and dating perishables.
  10. Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste.
Qualifications
Education/Formal Training

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

1-2 years in a related role with Hilton or other organizations.

Knowledge/Skills

Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Knowledge of cooking practices and procedures.

Physical Demands

Includes lifting up to 70 lbs, climbing, bending, standing for long periods, and working in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 100 degrees. Moderate hearing and vision are required, along with reading and comprehension skills.
