Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Chef for Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh. You will maintain a clean work station, work in a team, and craft exceptional food for events with a fun, collaborative culture.

You will coordinate with Catering and Banquets, uphold sanitation and quality standards, manage inventory, and participate in weekly meetings. A strong team player with a passion for hospitality will thrive in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relative experience in a kitchen of similar size.
• Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to help beyond this job description and wear multiple hats, as we all do at Kimpton!

Responsibilities

• Provide our guests excellent food quality in an attractive environment and with professional service.
• Work closely with the Catering and Banquets teams to ensure smooth execution of functions from start to finish.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in kitchen facilities, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
• Prevent waste and contamination of foods by exhibiting proper sanitation practices and ensuring compliance with policy and health regulations.
• Know and comply consistently with our standard portion size, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
• Attend weekly BEO and Resume meetings.
• Order and inventory foods for catered events.
• Meet all quality standards set by our executive chef.

What will you be doing?

Salary Range

$60,000-$75,000
