Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is looking for a Banquet Chef to join a vibrant team in a boutique setting. You will prepare high-quality dishes, coordinate with catering and banqueting teams, and maintain clean, orderly kitchen operations in a historic hotel.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with excellent food quality in an attractive environment and with professional service.
• Collaborate with Catering and Banquets teams to ensure smooth function execution from start to finish.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in kitchen facilities and equipment.
• Prevent waste and contamination by following sanitation practices and policies.
• Adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules.
• Attend weekly BEO and Resume meetings.
• Order and inventory foods for catered events.
• Meet all quality standards set by the executive chef.

What will you be doing?

As the Banquet Chef, you'll maintain a clean work station, be efficient and have the ability to work in a team environment and most importantly you will make some pretty amazing food with some pretty amazing people.

• Provide our guests excellent food quality in an attractive environment and with professional service.


• Work closely with the Catering and Banquets teams to ensure smooth execution of functions from start to finish.


• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in kitchen facilities, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.


• Prevent waste and contamination of foods by exhibiting proper sanitation practices and ensuring compliance with policy and health regulations.


• Know and comply consistently with our standard portion size, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.


• Attend weekly BEO and Resume meetings.


• Order and inventory foods for catered events.


• Meet all quality standards set by our executive chef.

Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000
