Job summary

HVMG - Hospitality Ventures Management Group in Lexington, KY is seeking a Banquet Chef to lead culinary execution for our hotel's special events, crafting exceptional menus and overseeing banquet kitchen operations to delight guests.

Reporting to the Executive Chef or Banquet Manager, you will uphold the highest standards of food safety, quality, and presentation, with opportunities for future culinary leadership within our nationwide portfolio.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience is advantageous and relevant education/experience is preferred.
• A culinary diploma is considered a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be the culinary mastermind behind our hotel's special events, creating memorable dishes that impress our guests.
• Your daily tasks will include menu development, overseeing banquet kitchen staff, and ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.
• You will report to the Executive Chef or Banquet Manager.
• A career as a banquet chef can lead to opportunities as an executive chef, culinary director, or even owning and operating your own catering company or restaurant.

Education & Experience

Hotel experience is always a plus! Applicants should have:

A combination of education and experience.

Additional consideration will be given to applicants who have completed special certifications, such as a culinary diploma.
