Job summary

Remington Hotels in Memphis is seeking a detail-oriented Banquet Setup Associate to arrange equipment for guest functions, verify accuracy before staff arrival, and assist with room setup according to BEOs.

You will schedule staff for pre-meal assignments, ensure all guest tables and equipment are set up correctly, and coordinate with the kitchen to maintain quality and presentation during service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Banquet staff in room set up and ensure all tables and equipment are set up correctly per BEOs.
• Schedule staff for pre-meal assignments and function stations and relay any special instructions.
• Inspect food quality and presentation, communicating changes to the kitchen and maintaining service standards.

What you will be doing

• Make arrangements for equipment needed for guest functions, ensuring its accuracy and completeness prior to the staff's arrival for room set up.
• Assist the Banquet staff in room set up. Make sure all guest tables, buffet tables and equipment are set up correctly. Ensure all requests and needs are met, referencing BEO's.
• Schedule staff for pre-meal assignments and function stations. Inform them of any special request or special instructions.
• Inspect food for quality and presentation prior to serving. Keep open communication with the kitchen staff, informing them of any changes or special instructions.

Physical Requirements (In-Office Role)

• Ability to work in a standard office environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day)
• Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach or carry items.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
• Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
• Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset
