Job summary

Starwood Hotels in Seattle is seeking a seasoned Banquet Captain to lead both front-of-house and heart-of-house teams during events. You will oversee all banquet operations, review BEOs, ensure flawless setup and breakdown, and elevate service standards.

The role requires at least 3 years of banquet experience, luxury hotel background preferred, and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. A post-secondary diploma is a plus; wine and event trend awareness is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of progressive banquet experience.
• Experience in banquet operations, preferably within an upper upscale or luxury hotel environment.
• Flexible and able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the banquet events, including reviewing BEOs and executing a perfect set-up and break down of each event.
• Train new team members and elevate service standards at every turn.
• Actively participate in day-to-day operations and uphold the service standards to the highest level.

Passionate about banquets and growing in the Banquet department with a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience working in banquets, preferably within an upper upscale or luxury hotel environment. A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus. Experience in banquet operations, a team player, natural leader, hard worker, and detail oriented.
