Job summary

Starwood Hotels is seeking a seasoned Banquet Captain to oversee all aspects of banquet events, review BEOs, and ensure flawless setup and breakdown. You will train new team members and elevate service standards while actively participating in day-to-day operations.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in banquets, preferably in an upper upscale or luxury hotel; a post-secondary diploma is a plus. Flexible, leadership-minded individuals are encouraged to apply.

• A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.
• Experience in banquet operations, a team player, natural leader, hardworking, and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the banquet events, including reviewing BEOs and executing a perfect set-up and break down of each event.
• Train new team members and elevate service standards at every turn.
• Uphold service standards to the highest level and participate in day-to-day operations.

We're currently searching for a seasoned and imaginative Banquet Captain to support the management and the front and heart-of-house teams. The Banquet Captain will oversee all aspects of the banquet events, including reviewing BEO's and executing a perfect set-up and (and break down) of each event, training new team members and elevating service standards at every turn, actively participating in day-to-day operations, upholding the service standards to the highest level...and everything in between, up to the very last goodbye.

About you...

• Passionate about banquets and growing in the Banquet department with a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience working in banquets, preferably within an upper upscale or luxury hotel environment.
• A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.
• Experience in banquet operations, a team player, natural leader, hard worker, and detail oriented.
• Flexible and able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
