Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management, operating the Marriott Raleigh Durham Research Triangle Park, is seeking a part-time Banquet Server. The role supports banquet events, oversees setup, service, and breakdown to ensure a safe, efficient guest experience.

With 21 hours per week, the position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to standards, and proactive guest service. The team enjoys meals, engagement rallies, and recognition programs as part of a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Two years of hotel banquet food/beverage service experience.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Able to process paperwork.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware; different setup styles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise banquet staff in completion of assigned functions and setup.
• Oversee service and breakdown functions in a safe, accident-free manner.
• Check BEOs for accuracy and relay changes to catering office and departments.
• Coordinate with banquet staff set-ups, changes and schedules for all functions.
• Verify staffing levels for next day's functions and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Operate as banquet server when needed and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Inspect banquet areas at end of function and ensure equipment is returned and areas are clean.
