Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Banquet Captain to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. This pivotal role involves orchestrating seamless event operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, providing client satisfaction, and leading both front-of-house and back-of-house teams. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years’ events and catering experience with a focus on front of the house service and large event execution.

This role pays an hourly rate of $29.00-$31.00 and is tip eligible.

This position will remain open until June 20, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Coordination: Supervise and direct event staff, including servers and bartenders to ensure efficient and cohesive service delivery.
  • Event Setup & Execution: Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, ensuring adherence to event timelines and client specifications.
  • Client Interaction: Greet clients upon arrival, review event agendas, and serve as the primary point of contact to address any needs or concerns.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in all event areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Problem-Solving: Anticipate and swiftly address any issues or challenges that arise during events to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Post-Event Duties: Conduct post-event evaluations to gather client feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in a supervisory role within a hotel, catering, or event environment.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure all aspects of the event meet client expectations.
  • Adaptability: Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure, adapting to the dynamic nature of events.
  • Flexibility: Able to work flexible schedule to accommodate business levels including nights and weekends.
