Cherokee Nation Entertainment is seeking a Banquet Captain to lead banquet staff and ensure flawless service for events. You will supervise setup, food and beverage presentation, and adherence to standards while managing guest requests and event logistics.

The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a proven track record in leading teams in fast-paced environments. Weekend and holiday shifts are required as part of a dynamic hospitality program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain a food handler’s card.
• Ability to pass all alcohol awareness training.
• Ability to obtain a state-issued alcoholic beverage license.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Proven ability to lead and guide other employees.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in compiling and managing event-related financial documentation.
• Requires standing for long periods, frequent bending and kneeling. Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, in various settings (climate-controlled office, casino floors with exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise).

• Ensure banquet staff returns equipment to storage areas and that the workspace and venue are left clean and tidy after each event.
• Promote a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean, and safe environment ("The Big Six") for guests.
