Summary

Coordinates food service activities of hotel restaurant or banquet activities & creates an atmosphere of success that will motivate the department. Exhibits a commitment to excellence by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate associates.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure proper hygiene, uniform and etiquette standards of self and staff
• Assist manager in competency of budgeting and forecasting labor as assigned
• Ensure adequate inventories and par levels of all products as assigned
• Properly train and motivate staff on a daily basis
• Recruit, interview, and hire the most qualified candidates as assigned
• Manage opening, operation, and closing of the department as scheduled
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards
• Monitor guest satisfaction daily through interaction strategies
• Communicate pertinent information effectively
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and hotel information
• Hold self and subordinates accountable
• Support hotel policies and procedures
• Handle stressful situations professionally and proactively
• Maintain proper job knowledge and competency of all department positions
• Attend all required training seminars and staff meetings
