Job summary

Coury Hospitality is seeking a skilled Banquet Bartender for The National venue in Oklahoma City. You will prepare and serve beverages, read and follow BEOs, and ensure a polished bar setup for weddings, meetings, and events.

You will maintain a clean, stocked bar, greet guests, handle cash procedures, and work closely with Banquet Captains, Servers, and culinary teams to deliver unforgettable moments. This role requires flexible evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to adapt to

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, bartending or beverage service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow BEOs and event setup instructions.
• Strong planning, organization and guest service skills.
• Must obtain and maintain required alcohol service permits or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Review BEOs and event setup requirements.
• Prepare bar and service areas per event specifications.
• Set tables and service areas uniformly.
• Maintain a clean, stocked bar and service station.
• Greet guests and provide professional beverage service.
• Prepare and serve beverages per established service standards.
• Assist with setting up/breaking down bars and buffets.
• Follow cash-handling and guest check procedures accurately.
• Communicate with Banquet Captains, Servers, and leadership.
• Support team to ensure smooth event execution.

• Reviewing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and understanding the setup and service requirements for each event.
• Preparing assigned bar and service areas accurately and efficiently according to event specifications.
• Setting tables and service areas correctly and uniformly.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and service station throughout each event.
• Greeting guests warmly and providing professional, attentive beverage service.
• Preparing and serving alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages according to established service standards.
• Assisting Banquet Captains with setting up and breaking down buffets, bars, and other special food and beverage service areas.
• Supporting proper clearing and breakdown of service equipment, trays, and banquet areas.
• Following all guest check, cash‑handling, and payment procedures accurately.
• Reviewing checks carefully, ensuring accuracy, and obtaining the appropriate guest signature when required.
• Completing assigned side work and helping maintain a polished event environment.
• Communicating with Banquet Captains, Servers, Culinary Curators, and other team members to ensure smooth event execution.
• Jumping in wherever needed to support the team and keep service moving efficiently.

Education and Experience

• Previous banquet, bartending, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Two or more years of banquet experience preferred.
• Previous bartending or beverage service experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of banquet event execution and beverage service standards.
• Ability to read and follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event setup instructions.
• Strong planning, organization, and guest service skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with Banquet Captains, Servers, Culinary Curators, and leadership.
• Ability to learn and follow cash‑handling, guest check, safety, sanitation, and service procedures.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
• Must obtain and maintain any required state or local alcohol service permits or certifications.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move throughout banquet spaces and bar areas for extended periods.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the shift.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to safely handle glassware, bottles, bar equipment, trays, food, and beverages.
• Ability to assist with setting up and breaking down banquet bars, tables, buffets, and other event equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced event environment with changing timelines, guest needs, and service priorities.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the bar and banquet service areas.
• Ability to maintain a polished, professional appearance and adhere to all grooming and uniform standards.
