Job summary

Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina is seeking a Banquet Bartender to provide exceptional beverage service during events. You will set up and break down the bar, prepare and serve drinks, and maintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with alcohol service regulations.

You will engage guests with friendly conversation, tailor recommendations to guest preferences, and ensure a seamless, high-quality guest experience at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay.

Qualifications

• Previous Bartending experience.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Must be available to work flexible shifts including mid-shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Summary

The Banquet Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service during events, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests. This role involves setting up and breaking down the bar, preparing and serving drinks efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and adhering to all alcohol service regulations.

What You'll Do:

• Casual conversation, creativity, and allows for building on one’s style.
• Assessing guest need, preferences, and making recommendations.
• Comply with state and local serving guidelines.
• Be knowledgeable about drink ingredients, and preparation techniques.
• Be well versed in all hotel information, including other restaurants, and offered amenities.
• Customize the guest experience by appreciating unique guest needs.
• Place proper attention to appearance and presentation of all beverages.
• Ensure bar is set and the surrounding area is clean.
• Be resourceful and go above and beyond when fulfilling a guest’s special requests.
• Communicate to managers and supervisors of any guest concerns or issues.
• The last guest enjoys the same clean and presentable experience as the first.
• Adhere to all hotel and departmental standards and polices, including attendance, cash handling, and side work responsibilities.
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and functional.
