Job description

Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center located in Lewis Center, Ohio is seeking a part-time Banquet Bartender to join our team! The job involves preparing and serving drinks for banquet guests in a prompt and courteous manner, maintaining high quality and consistency to ensure guest satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

1. Greet guests pleasantly at the bar; promote house drinks and upsell to maximize revenue.
2. Prepare beverages according to standard procedures, ensuring proper portions and ingredients to control costs and ensure consistency.
3. Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption; determine when to cease alcohol service; notify management of any concerns; check IDs for age verification.
4. Set up and tear down the portable bar, including alcohol, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies; keep inventory of beverages.
5. Handle cash transactions accurately, balance the cash drawer, and secure the bartender’s bank.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for the entire shift.
• Ability to lift, reach, bend, push, or pull heavy loads, exerting up to 100 pounds of force, and regularly lift 55 lbs.
