Job summary

Davidson Hospitality Group seeks a Banquet Barback at Newport Harbor Island Resort in Newport, RI to support the banquet bar team during events. You will stock, setup, break down bars and assist bartenders to deliver drinks promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a barback or similar role preferred.
• Strong physical stamina; lifting and carrying heavy objects.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-energy support to the banquet bar team, ensuring smooth operations during events and functions
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of bars, including stocking supplies, glassware, and beverages
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment
• Collaborate with bartenders to fulfill guest orders and deliver drinks in a timely manner
• Anticipate and respond to guest needs, ensuring their satisfaction and enjoyment
• Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and restocking as needed
• Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude, contributing to a vibrant and engaging atmosphere
• Work closely with the banquet team to provide seamless service and exceed guest expectations
